In the Fall of 2021, Ryan and a team of fellow graduate students at the Heinz College of Information Systems & Public Policy served as Social Media Strategy Consultants for Mattel Creations, a sub-brand of Mattel. Their work focused specifically on how to best utilize data from current social media interactions to target future iterations of social media campaigns to specifically target professional toy collectors.
