Script Reader (April 2020-August 2020)
After his departure as Artistic Assistant due to the COVID-19 crisis, Ryan was offered to stay on as a Roundabout Script Reader. In this role, he read scripts to determine their suitability for development and/or production. Additionally, he read scripts as an adjudicator for inclusion in the Columbia@Roundabout, Excavations, and Roundabout Underground Reading Serieses.
Artistic Assistant (August 2019-April 2020)
In August 2019, Ryan returned to the staff of Roundabout Theatre Company as the Artistic Assistant. His primary duties are laid out below.
Serve as assistant to Artistic Director/CEO and Associate Artistic Director: manage calendars (scheduling appointments, reconciling digital and paper calendars), roll calls, coordinate artist gifts, audit corporate card and submit expense reimbursements, manage health care and insurance claims, book travel, make restaurant reservations, serve as liaison between Artistic/Executive staffs and entire RTC Staff.
Serve as member of Literary team: read and write coverage on new plays, cover readings of new plays and musicals, scout potential properties for development, liaise with agents and literary mangers, support Literary Manager in administration of script reading team.
Assist with New Play Development initiative: line produce RTC readings and workshops with Senior Producer, Artistic Development, organize supplies and paperwork, set up and strike with Stage Management, supervise Apprentice/Intern as PA.
Administer and Manage Opening Nights: manage Artistic and Staff invitations, track RSVPs, coordinate with Press Office for VIP ticketing, seat all guests (Artistic, Company, Development, Staff, Press), serve as Box Office liaison on Opening Night, serve as cast escort at Opening Night Party, coordinate with various donors and press outlets.
Serve as RTC House Seat Coordinator: administer Artistic department House Seats, book orders from external parties to RTC performances, book House Seats for RTC staff and friends to shows across New York City.
Complete various administrative tasks to support the department: write dramaturgical content for Upstage Guides and Artistic newsletter updates, manage Artistic department petty cash, administer Directing Fellowship budget, hire and supervise Artistic Apprentice and Intern.
Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis, Ryan's time as Artistic Assistant ended in April 2020.

Artistic Intern (May - August 2017)
In the summer of 2017, Ryan served as the Artistic Intern at Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. In this position, he coordinated Roundabout's script reading program, as well as read and wrote coverage on new plays and readings.. He assisted with organization and execution of play readings, developmental workshops, and Opening Nights both on and off-Broadway. He served as the point person for Tony Voter ticketing and managed the Artistic department's bank statement. He also wrote content (which can be found below) for Education @ Roundabout's Upstage Guides for both Too Heavy for Your Pocket by Jireh Breon Holder and Time and the Conways by J.B. Priestley. He worked under Artistic Director Todd Haimes, Director of New Play Development Jill Rafson, Manager of Play Development Nicole Tingir, and Artistic Assistant Nick Mecikalski.
